【摘要】:Inmostnaturalwatersseleniumconcentrationsseldomexceed10x03BC;g/L.However,therunofffromcertaintypesofseleniferoussoilsatvarioustimesoftheyearcanproduceconcentrationsashighasseveralhundredmicrogramsperlitre.Additionally,industrialcontaminationcanbeasignificantsourceofseleniuminriversandstreams.Highconcentrationsofseleniumindrinkingwaterhavebeensuspectedofbeingtoxictoanimallife.Seleniumisaprioritypollutantandallpublicwateragenciesarerequiredtomonitoritsconcentration.Thesetestmethodsdeterminethedominantspeciesofseleniumreportedlyfoundinmostnaturalandwastewaters,includingselenities,selenates,andorgano-seleniumcompounds.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofdissolvedandtotalrecoverableseleniuminmostwatersandwastewaters.Bothtestmethodsutilizeatomicabsorptionprocedures,asfollows:Sections
